SAFETY MEASURE INSPECTIONS
Fire Safety Consulting Pty Ltd carry out inspections of passive safety measures
that are required to be inspected annually including the annual inspection for exit
doors and paths of travel.
Where the installation standard, maintenance standard and frequency of maintenance
is not clear from existing site conditions or documents we recommend that clients carry out
a Design and Installation Survey.
A Design and Installation Survey provides the key information necessary to ensure that
owners or their agents can prepare an Annual Essential Safety Measure Report before the
13 June 2009. All owners of non-domestic buildings in Victoria are required by
the 13th June 2009 to produce an Annual Essential Safety Measure Report.
In order to be able to produce an Annual Essential Safety Measure Report you will need
to:
1. Be able to identify the essential safety measures in the building.
2. Know the installation standard at which the essential safety measure is required
to perform.
3. Know the applicable maintenance standard and frequency of maintenance;
4. Have records of inspection, testing, preventative maintenance, and survey of the
essential safety measures that demonstrate what has been done, including repairs
and rectification of the essential safety measures.
